The Greek Empire

Because the Greeks developed arts, science, philosophy, they were the first to give the concept of police state, the Greeks produced the first economic theory, therefore they have developed civilization early then any other civilization (Rawlings 2013)

The Age of knowledge

The period following the Mycenaean civilization, which ended in 1200 BCE to the death of Alexander the great. This was the period of political, philosophical, artistic and scientific achievement for the Greeks (Badian, 1982), therefore it has formed a legacy which has its unparallel influence on the western civilization. 

Colonization and the Modern city-state Formation

Because the Greeks were first to politicize the state, work on its economy, and make construction inventions like cement, therefore they were able to make and sustain a modern city-state.

Colonization and Conquer 

Because the Greeks were able to make cannon, (Clesibuis of Alexandria), because they were able maker an organized and structured army, they invented the Phalanx system, their army became more efficient and powerful to colonize.

Political Institutions

Because of Socrates, because of Plato, and because of Aristotle who has written more than 150 types of constitutions, the Greeks were able to gift the world an efficient polity and administration. 

Democracy

Because of the ideas of philosophy and politics by Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, they have found democracy as the best form of government (Badian 1982), and Athens created the first democracy in 510 BCE.

Olympics

Because the Greeks had developed arts, they had developed a clock and time calculator, and basis of geometry (Greene 2015), therefore they were able to organize Olympics.
