This report highlights the strategy for digital communication for implementing instant messaging/ group messaging, discussion forums, and chatroom in the workplace. The organization selected is EB Pearls, it is a digital agency based in Australia that helps in mobile application and website development (EB Pearls, 2020). Instant messaging will improve communication across the organization. The organization will use a communication strategy for comprehension by downward communication. This report is for organizational employees in operation and data science department
Identifying business needs- The Company is working in the digital sphere and requires quick access for communication to connect with peers within the organization. The use of instant messaging will be useful for all levels of organization from QA developers to CEOs. The company faces communication that requires a digital interface/ group set up as the work is collaborative in nature.
Implementing the plan- The main objective of this digital strategy is to enhance the outreach and inclusion of all members in business operations with their work. Collaborative tools and discussion forums provide updates in projects within sharing timelines and quick communication in case of urgency (Heide, 2018). The communication strategy is used in the annual summit by the company CEO. The webinar will guide the right way of messaging, the time duration of the call, and the maximum time location.Note making through brainstorming in chat rooms improve learning and comprehension in individual (Zhang, 2018). The team size at the company is 200 users hence the messaging app size and groups will be 10 groups for the people. This will help in measuring the usability, increase in efficiency of the communication medium. The Digital workplace through chat room will help in collaboration. Organization can leverage through intuitive collaboration between the team (Ewing, 2019).
Monitoring and feedback- The pilot plan would be run than for checking the applicability and usefulness in the organization. Monitoring and feedback by Team leaders.
