In this assignment, the problems regarding the radicalization and its impact on the national security have been taken up. The reasons behind the cause of radicalization have been identified.

It has been seen that in the past decade radicalization has been considered the pervasive framework that has helped in the understanding of the transitions in micro level that has given an outlook to the increase in violence. The conceptualization of radicalization has been overlapped in the form of disposition of the culture and psychological aspects, theological process, a process of psychology and theology as well as the policing tools that are present under the models of radicalization. The radicalization of the violent extremism has been induced by groups of terrorists like Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Boko Haram as well as Al Qaeda (Kundnani, 2012). These groups have successfully spread the messages of aggression, violence and hate as well as intolerance towards other religions. This has resulted in the planning and execution of the innocent people. This has resulted in the lowered the national security. The interventions that are taken up by the western governments have been studied to understand and identify the risk factors for the radicalization of the individuals.

The oversimplification of the idea of radicalization has resulted in the attraction of the controversies and attention to the prevention of counter terrorism. The willingness to support, condoning as well as use of violence has been observed in the concept of radicalization. Probing the thought and beliefs of the people has resulted in the engenderment of the distrust on the government (NEUMANN, 2013). Not only that, it also undermines and reduces the established relationship between the law enforcement and communities. For instance, the efforts of the government can be reduced for the demonstration of the Muslims abroad the US as well as within the country to provide equal opportunity and treatment of all the American as well as all the Muslims is problematic. The suspicions of the theories that are unsupported and beliefs by the government have resulted in the lowered security of the country.

The research for terrorism has been observed in the front and center of the concept of radicalization. The radicalization has also fueled the strategy of anti terrorism. The idea behind the concept of radicalization has been emerging lately and has been considered a new symbol in the wars that are taken place today. Radicalization has also offered a fresh perspective on the minority group which is Muslim community in the US. The reduction in the domestic political violence by the Islamist has been taken up by the European authorities. New policies have been implemented that are directed towards countering radicalization. Advisors entrepreneurs, academics and analysts who are self appointed as well as funded by the governor has dedicated themselves to reduce the impact of radicalization (Silva, 2018). It is the believe of the individuals that they are psychological or theological understanding of the concept help in the identification of treatment that can reduce terrorism. Its flaws and prejudices are shown when the radicalization notion utilized by the industry’s academics is examine, therefore it can be seen that idea of extremism has increased the growth of the Muslim Communities and has become main suspect in disputes violation of rights as well as they have failed to comprehend the nature of socio political struggles that the government are engaged in.

The idea of radicalization lacks coherence despite being widely utilized by policymakers and academics in the light of conflict and fear. Radicalization is not a myth; its definition is vague, and the fundamental disagreements and disputes that it has sparked are related to this ambiguity. Between ideas of radicalization that highlight extreme beliefs versus those that focus upon extremist conduct, there is a conceptual divide that is the main problem (Wood, 2019). The ambiguity argument, which has focused on the connection between cognition and conduct, serves as the framework for radically diverse approaches to policy. Vulnerabilities in emotion like rage, alienation, as well as disenfranchisement are push risk factors. People who consists alternatives that are non violent, like engaging in political matters, nonviolent resistance, and civil society activism, have failed may be driven towards radicalism. Radicalization is the process through which an individual, a large number of individuals, or a group of people transition from legally participating in politics to using or supporting violence for political ends.
