Aim |
Helping people and communities flourish is at the heart of SSI's mission, and one way it does this is by promoting and facilitating full involvement in all aspects of social and economic life. The goals and values of the individuals who make up SSI's multicultural and migratory resource centre have always served as the cornerstone of the organization's approach to assisting vulnerable populations (Abood et al., 2022). |
As their name suggests, Lifestyle Solutions is committed to providing for the needs of those with disabilities, as well as children and adolescents who are under the care of a governmental or non-governmental organisation. LS's services are tailored to the specific needs of each individual customer so that they may help them in their day-to-day activities and in reaching their long-term objectives. |
How and Why |
Since its founding in 2000, SSI in New South Wales has expanded to become the overarching organisation for eleven Migrant Resource Centers and Multicultural Services. SSI's headquarters are in Ashfield, Sydney, although the corporation also has offices in other prominent areas of Victoria and New South Wales. The group's founders set out to build a society where everyone is respected for who they are as individuals and as families, and where everyone is given a fair shot at contributing to the economy and other spheres of public life (SSI, 2022). |
The group was founded as a non-profit with the goal of making life easier for persons who have physical impairments. Clients may now be found all throughout Australia thanks to the company's expanded service area. Lifestyle Solutions, which began in Newcastle 15 years ago, currently oversees yearly sales and finances of more than $135 million. Everyone who works at the firm receives equal treatment. To achieve this goal, LS ensures that its customers, their families, and their communities have access to high-quality services provided by passionate employees that strive to improve every aspect of their clients' lives (Lifestylesolutions, 2022). |
Purpose |
SSI uses its knowledge and experience to advocate for the rights of the communities it serves. This group is committed to defending the rights of the people it serves, including the right to self-determination and full participation in mainstream social and economic life in Australia. |
Since 2013, Lifestyle Solutions has been a service provider authorised by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). |
Activities |
All SSI programmes and service delivery systems are based on the principles of human rights, social fairness, and empowering each individual to realise his or her full potential. |
Disabled children and teens may participate in Lifestyle Solutions' Out of Home Care and other programmes that offer care in the community with a focus on the family unit. |
Governance affects the processes of goal-setting, progress monitoring, risk management, and performance optimization.
The SSI programme helps low-income Australians, including recent immigrants. In recent years, there has been a heightened focus on the governance and management of the settlement services sector. Settlement Services International's leadership and management approach is frequently held up as an example of how to successfully incorporate community service into an organization's structure (Smith et al., 2020). The Board of Directors selects the CEO, evaluates the CEO's performance, and establishes the company's long-term goals. A Board of Directors chosen by the membership at large serves as the group's governing body (Wali et al., 2018). In order for SSI to increase the sector's capacity and have beneficial social benefits, it need backing from governments, businesses, and communities (SSI, 2022).
Lifestyle Solutions is dedicated to excellent governance through openness and accountability, as specified in the organization's governance structure, in order to meet its ethical, legal, and financial commitments and achieve its stated mission. Lifestyle Solutions (Aust) Ltd. provides management and assistance that might be useful to the local community. After performing in-depth research of corporate governance in private sector non-profits and for-profits, Lifestyle Solutions has implemented the best practise principles uncovered (Lifestyle Solutions, 2022). The board of directors makes all the major decisions for the firm, including who gets promoted and who gets fired, and how the day-to-day business is run. The success of the business depends on happy consumers. The firm also has a staff of managers who are responsible for enforcing these policies.
The organization's goal is to aid in the development of a culture that values diversity, recognises and celebrates the unique qualities of each person and family, and works to remove any barriers to full social and economic involvement. SSI's personnel is overwhelmingly bilingual and multi-ethnic; combined, they speak 98 different languages, removing many of the hurdles that people's inability to communicate or cultural backgrounds might create when trying to use SSI's excellent services (SSI, 2022). Since its founding in 2000, SSI in New South Wales has expanded to become the overarching organisation for eleven Migrant Resource Centers and Multicultural Services.
Lifestyle Solutions has joined the Australian government's National Redress Scheme to further aid those who were sexually abused as children while in institutional care. In its role as a leading supplier of critical care services for young people throughout the country, the organisation recognises the ethical necessity of promoting health and justice for everyone (Lifestyle Solutions, 2022). Despite the fact that it is not required to do so, Lifestyle Solutions has joined the Scheme to show its support for its goals, which include recognising the severe trauma suffered by victims of institutionalised child sexual abuse and providing restitution and counselling services to these individuals. For the safety and well-being of the children and teenagers in LS care, and is dedicated to providing services of the highest standard.
Settlement Services International (SSI) is a leading NGO that knows it must adhere to sustainability requirements to survive in the long run. Must have a long-term strategy for maintaining operations, and SSI should either provide a sample plan with accompanying guidelines or be prepared to provide assistance to the NGO in creating one (Spaargaren, 2020). The sustainability issues were selected according to their relative severity, the likelihood of success with an SSI solution, and the potential for long-term benefits for SSI and its customers.
Producing and retailing health and fitness goods is where Lifestyle Solutions (Aust) Ltd. excels. A number of challenges related to long-term company viability have been highlighted. The corporation has recognised certain problems, such as the need to improve recycling efforts, lessen reliance on non-renewable energy sources, and explore greener production processes. It's important to keep in mind that the company's operations have consequences for people, the planet, and the economy (Bilgen and Sarıkaya, 2018).
