Occupational therapy's main aim is to allow people to engage in daily activities. Occupational therapists accomplish this result by encouraging people to do activities that will improve their ability to engage or by improving the atmosphere to help promote participation. Consequently, occupational therapy practitioners must recognize these occupational therapy mechanisms and are prepared to use them. Using the Canadian Practice Process Framework (CPPF), occupational therapists can recognize these main activities to help clients to achieve their job goals.
