Introduction to Stigma and Discrimination Against People

The stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness are creating multifaceted problems worldwide. Henderson & Gronholm (2018) described general people create a label on mentally ill people and the labeling will lead to separation, emotional reaction, stereotyping, and discrimination. This is triggered by a stigma differential between those who are being labeled and those who label.
